The Douglas County (D6) ODHS Parent Advisory Council was created in February 2023 with support from District 6 ODHS leadership, The Ford Family Foundation, and Morrison Child & Family services to create a council of parents of lived experience with child welfare to provide insights and feedback on their experience with the child welfare system. Creating Community Resilience now serves as their community-based facilitator and provides support and leadership for the initiative and works closely with parents and ODHS leadership to bridge the gap between families and services.
